A lot of men want to wear jewelry but get stuck on what to choose. The first step in deciding what to choose is to figure out if you want a ring, bracelet, necklace or a matching set. Then, once you decide on that, you have to decide what you want it to be made from. Some of the options are gold (white, yellow, or rose, in 14K or 18K), silver, titanium, or platinum. After you figure out what material you’d like, then you have to decide if you want any precious stones on it. For example, do you want a ring with diamonds, do you want a necklace with a tiger’s eye dog tag, etc. An excellent way to help you figure out what you want is to go to a department store like Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales and check out their men’s jewelry department. Make sure to try on whatever appeals to you so you can see how it looks on you. Remember that jewelry helps define your look. If you want a rock star look, you’ll have to go with something chunky made from sterling silver. If you want something more conservative looking going with a simple gold ring and necklace will give you that look. That’s another reason why trying different types of jewelry on is very helpful.
Also, keep in mind that your jewelry should match when wearing it together. For example, if you purchase a white gold ring, you may want to think about getting a necklace in white gold to match the ring.
